Herbert Street Technologies Ltd.
was formed in Ireland in 1999, with the purpose of developing and manufacturing encryption products for world markets. It is privately owned by it's directors and senior programmers, with less than 10% currently held by outside investors.
Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company is Brian J. O'Doherty, formally Assistant Chief Executive officer of the Irish Trade Board, and a person with very considerable experience of international marketing.
Director and Chief Scientific Officer of the company is I.V.Taraoukhine, an advanced mathematician, cryptanalyst and algorithm designer, with 15 years software programming and project management experience.
Herbert Street Technologies currently has completed development of version 1B of three products, a suite which provides security for important and confidential information whether it is in storage on a computer disk/ette, or for transporting between computers. Further products are under development, as part of a very extensive product development programme scheduled for up to three years forward.
The products currently implement the SVC algorithm, which provides extremely strong encryption and great speed. Later this year, the new AES algorithm will also be implemented.
